Mosquitoes are the most important insect pests affecting the health and wellbeing of humans and domestic animals worldwide. Several key mosquito species cause a variety of health problems due to their ability to transfer (vector) viruses and other disease-causing pathogens, some of which are life-threatening. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) provides the most effective strategy to battle this insect pest. This webinar will give an overview of mosquito biology, the most significant mosquito vectors and disease threats, and discuss the integrated pest management strategies to reduce mosquito populations.
